Tests and surveys are used to measure student progress, provide evidence of meeting course/program outcomes and gather information from students.

You can create tests and surveys and then deploy them in a course area. To simplify matters, whenever we discuss ‘Tests’ in these pages, assume the same workflow applies to surveys. The only difference is in Grade Center.

Whenever you create a test, a new column is automatically created in the Grade Center. If the test is marked electronically (e.g. T/F or Multiple Choice questions) scores are embedded automatically as well. Survey questions, on the other hand, are not scored.
