1. Under Assessments, select Assignment.
2. In the next screen, you name the assignment, provide instructions and additional information (due date, number of attempts, etc.)
Select a colour for the assignment so it stands out more prominently for your students:
3. You may wish to add a Rubric- this will give guidance to your students and greatly assist you in grading the assignment later. Simply open the Rubric dropdown and select “Create New Rubric” :
This will open the Create Rubric page. After assigning a name and a description, you build your rubric by editing rows and columns and adding additional rows or columns as desired. Good rubrics take a while to build but go a long way to ensuring consistent and objective grading.
Date Management- The next fields allow you to choose when the assignment will become visible to your students, set the assignment due date and determine if the assignment will be distributed to groups or all students.
4. Once complete, click Submit.
Your assignment will show up in Course Content and a new column will appear in Grade Center
